What gift could be sweeter than some holiday treats? Sonja Higgins has just what you will need to put together a fancy glass jar filled with layers of red and green candies. Finish it with a sparkly ribbon and add your personally designed gift tag. Then think about just who will be smiling when they receive these tasty treats from you! Note: this project uses small candies that may pose a choking hazard; adult supervision required.
Godfather Drosselmeyer's workshop is a wonderful place where wooden shapes turn into marvelous nutcrackers. Of course this may look like magic, but it really takes time and some careful work to fashion each unique nutcracker. Today you can paint your own small wooden nutcracker in our own workshop - the Family Discovery Gallery.
Now that our days are shorter, street lights illuminate our sidewalks and roads and building windows glow with light from within. Today's project is all about what a street looks like if you took a walk in the dark. Anna will show you how to use one-point perspective in your drawing and when you learn this easy technique with a horizon line and a vanishing point, you can add lots of houses and shops to compose your scene. Then with one final step to this nocturnal project you will let the light shine through.
Come enjoy a festive atmosphere, tasty refreshments, and holiday performances from local groups await you.
