Construction Kids Camp is for children ages five to eight years as a half or full day camp selection. Half days are 8:30 to 12:30, and full days are 8:30 to 4. Campers will create towers, bridges, houses and more by transforming everyday materials like boxes, straws and building bricks into new inventions and structures. Attendees will build their imagination, creativity and confidence throughout the week.
Spanish Camp is tailored to children ages five to eight years and is offered in half and full day camp options. Half days are 8:30 to 12:30, and full days are 8:30 to 4. Designed to be a Spanish immersion camp, attendees will practice speaking Spanish each day of the camp experience with instructors and native speakers. Participants will learn basic Spanish words and information about Hispanic culture, as well as make crafts, play games and create their own Spanish book. Sessions will be taught in English and Spanish.
Art Smart Camp is designed for children ages five to eight years and is available as a half or full day camp. Half days are 8:30 to 12:30, full days are 8:30 to 4. Young artists will journey into the past, present and future of art and learn about master artists like Da Vinci, Monet and Pollack. Attendees will also experiment with different painting, drawing and sculpting techniques, as well as create an exhibition of their artwork to share with family members.
Little Learners Spanish Camp is offered for children ages two to four years as a half day option only. Classes feature Spanish finger plays, basic Spanish words, including greetings, colors and days of the week, as well as art projects.
Travel back in time and celebrate an old-fashion Christmas. Enjoy a Christmas shadow play, music from local performers, historical dancing, holiday baking, crafts, Christmas stories by fire, horse drawn wagon rides, many hands on activities and visit with a historic Santa! Heritage Hill is also partnering with the Salvation Army to help area citizens during the holidays. Everyone who attends The Spirit of Christmas Past at Heritage Hill with a canned food item will receive one dollar off admission.
History and Halloween will come to life as area families enjoy Halloween at Heritage Hill. Little ghosts and goblins experience safe trick or treating, games and fun throughout the park. Other favorite activities include: a costume contest, Halloween craft, scary storytelling, making s ‘mores around the campfire, a shadow play and Mad Scientist Laboratory. Back this year is the Headless Horseman reenactment.
Canoes, carriages and cars… Experience the impact of transportation via river and road on the lives of people and society in our region. Visitors will be transported through time to learn of the role of the Fox River in the movement of people and goods. View 50+ automobiles dating from 1908 to current. Check out the vintage Schneider National truck and learn how Schneider has impacted the trucking industry transporting goods for 77 years. Enjoy hands on car racing activities for kids of all ages. Enter the raffle to win a four hour simulator experience at Schneider National’s headquarters to feel what it is like to drive a big rig. Cap of the day watching the parade as the vehicles leave the park.
Travel back in time and see how Green Bay’s earliest settlers coped with life on a daily basis. Learn some of their survival skills, discover how they dressed, cooked, built their homes and carved out a living in the Wisconsin wilderness. Learn about their modes of travel and the water and land routes they used. Examine a typical garden of the time period. Smell the aroma of bread baking in an outdoor oven. Find out how to start a fire using a piece of flint, or how to cast a bullet. Try some of the chores of the early settlers. This is an event that will appeal to all your senses.
Walk into the middle of a Laura Ingalls Wilder’s classic Little House book during Laura Ingalls Wilder Days. Participate in, or watch over 20 activities from Laura’s books including: chores on the farm, historical games, a school lesson, bullet making, blacksmithing and historical meal preparation. Boys and girls are invited to dress as their favorite "Little House" character for the annual costume contest. Meet our special guest Dean Butler, Almanzo Wilder and Alison Arngrim, “Nellie” from the hit television show “Little House on the Prairie.” Autograph sessions available.
