Suburban Homesteading-Preserving Meats to be presented by Christine Kniep, UW-Extension Family Living Educator on Monday, October 7th at 6:00 pm in the 1st floor Shattuck Community Room.
Come and learn the basics of home food preservation using current, research based methods. Topics we will cover will include canning equipment, freezing foods, food dehydration, pickles and relishes. The Outagamie County Master Food Preservers will share basics of canning and food preservation to help you get started. Research based food preservation resources and websites will also be shared so that you have the current, recommended practices for a safe food product.
Join us for a presentation by professional organizer Sarah Tibbits from Nesting Neatly. She’ll demonstrate how to dig out from under the clutter in your life. With her “7 Tips for Organization” you’ll be ready to start organizing any room in your home.
Join Tom from the Outagamie County Master Gardeners to discuss the uses for container gardening and demonstrate how to put a container together. There will be a drawing for the containers that we assemble at the program.
