Who is your Valentine? Make a glass valentine/or letter ($15 each) for someone you care about. Using glass paints write a message with glass on glass! Stencils and stamps can be used to brighten up your valentine.
Stay warm wit a cup of hot chocolate or any hot drink of your choosing. Make a glass coaster ($15 each) while drinking hot chocolate or apple cider at The Glass Studio. String, ribbon and other fabrics will be available to choose from and add to your coaster after it is fired.
Ministry Door County Medical Center sponsors Pirate Day with a host of activities centered around the popular “Pirates: Ship to Shore” exhibit in the Horton Gallery.
“Bob the Bird,” the amazing parrot who thrilled visitors at last summer’s Classic & Wooden Boat Festival, will be back to entertain with his antics and provide one-of-a-kind photo opportunities. A variety of children’s activities are also planned from crafting pirate hats and necklaces to a Pirate Bean Bag Toss, walk the plank game and more.
Pirates in the Harbour will have its colorful pirate ship on the grounds. It will also host the Jolly Roger Café where home-made chili, apple cider and other beverages will be for sale. Pirates in the Harbour is donating the proceeds from the sale to benefit restoration work at the Cana Island Lighthouse.
Also on that day, Sunshine House wreaths will be sold in front of the museum from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Plant sale weather depending, wagon rides, pond creatures, recycling shoes, Spring wildflower hike, kid’s crafts, build a bird / bat house, food, and much more.
Snow games including: snow snake, outdoor shelter building, arts and crafts, board game room, skiing, sledding snow person contest and winter geocaching.
Chili dump luncheon.
Naturalist guided snowshoe hike in search of porcupines and other wildlife on snowshoes (9 am and 11 am). Fees for rentals and lunch, other items free of charge.
Families, Scout troops, Youth Groups, Businesses, Individuals are welcome to decorate a bucket to be hung in the Sugarbush! All supplies will be provided.
Celebrate winter at this new event, featuring games and activities of the winter season.
Come out for a fun and unique winter night extravaganza at the sanctuary. Embark on an evening hike and enjoy warm cider, hot chocolate and delicious desserts around the campfire while listening to a local folk music band.
Join us for all things froggy. Participants will make a frog craft and a toad house, see live frogs, participate in froggy activities, and go for a spring frog hike. The Kangaroostaurant will also be serving food at the Reserve sharing and enjoying the day of the frog.
Bring the family for a night full of games. Drop in at any time and pick the board game of your choice to enjoy with your family.
