Explore the Wolf River lowland forest on foot or snowshoes during a program at Mosquito Hill Nature Center on Saturday, January 14 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.
Check out winter birds, tracks and other animal signs with naturalist Mary Swifka, and enjoy an easy walk in an area of the center not normally accessible in warmer months. Warm up with some hot beverages afterwards. The walk will be held on snowshoes if snow conditions permit.
The cost is $6 for adults, $4 for students, seniors and Friends of Mosquito Hill. Bring your own snowshoes or rent a pair of ours for $3/adults, or $2/youth up to age 14. Toddlers may be pulled on a sled.
Registration and payment are due January 6. For more details, or to register, call 920-779-6433 or e-mail [email protected]. The center is located 2 miles east of New London off County Highway S at the end of Rogers Road. For a complete winter calendar of events, visit www.mosquitohill.com.
