The Village of Winneconne celebrates it’s short-lived and much loved day of sovereignty with its 45th annual Sovereign State Days Celebration. Every third weekend in July is set aside for festivities including one of the finest parades in the state, along with Waterfront concerts on the Wolf River. This year Sovereign State will host Road Trip Band Friday night along with Fireworks at dusk. Saturday will start the day off with the annual Sovereign State Parade, down Main St at 10:30 a.m. The Parade Marshal this year is Ken Thrun (TINY) along with the annual Charity Parade of Thunder Poker Run thanks to Ron Rozek. Marble Park will feature a Craft and Flea Market by the Friends of the Library along with Softball Tournament sponsored by Athletic Association, Volleyball Tournament and Clowns. The Historical Society Museum will also be giving tours.
Saturday night at Waterfront Park will be one of the most popular bands in the Valley, Chasin Mason Band with guest star Erica Hoyt.
Sunday will start the day off with a Pancake Breakfast organized by the Masonic Lodge 186, a Kids Fishing Tournament sponsored by Critters Wolf River Sports and Kiwanis.
