A Family of Quality Publications Celebrating the Place We Call Home
The Friends of the Neenah Public Library will be conducting its annual used book sale September 25 through September 30. There are several thousand books, videos, DVDs, LPs, and more! Special to this year’s sale is the collection of Theda Clark Peters Smith (1903-1970). Theda, daughter of Theda Clark Peters, later married Carlton Smith, grandson of Elisha D. Smith, founder of Menasha Woodenware (Menasha Corporation). Approximately 60 boxes of books from her estate will be sold. The books are from her personal collection, many published between the 1940s and late-1960s.
The sale will be held in the Shattuck Community Room at the Neenah Public Library at the following times:
Wed., Sept. 25 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m.: $4 entry fee (Children under 11 free with paid adult)
Thu., Sept. 26 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m.: free entry
Fri., Sept. 27 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.: free entry
Sat., Sept. 28 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: free entry
Sun., Sept. 29 1:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m.: free entry (Books [only] by the bagful - $5)
Mon., Sept. 30 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.: free entry (Remaining items, if any, free)
The sale is sponsored and conducted by the Friends of the Neenah Public Library. Proceeds from the sale are used to support library programs and to purchase materials for the library. Book and media donations are always welcome and can be dropped off during library hours. Volunteers needed to assist with the sale.
